Hello - I'm looking into buying a super 8 and want something v. basic and easy to use.
I've seen a Eumig mini 3 servofocus on sale for ?30 (thats about $45) and it works perfectly - is that a bargain or a rip off?

Super 8 Cameras
Canon makes very good Super 8 Cameras
Some are simple and work fine, but
do not cost much.

Count me in on the Canon side. They seem to run
forever and produce very steady, sharp pictures.
The motors on the XL-S models are very quiet
and constant.

Louise, the Eumig mini 3 camera's are quite reasonable camera's. My mother always uses this camera, with quite good results. But if you want to have better results, try the nizo 800 series. It is very easy tu use, has different shutter speeds, and it gives very good results. My local photoshop has currently one for sale for ?120. I can buy it for you, if you are interested, let me know.
